President Jaeho Yeom graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Korea University College of Law and earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University in the United States. Beginning in 1990, he served as a professor in the Department of Public Administration at Korea University and later as its 19th president.

Since 2023, he has been serving as the inaugural president of Taejae University. He was also elected Vice-Chairperson of the National Artificial Intelligence Committee. Over the course of his career, he has held numerous government positions, including Chair of the Policy Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and member of the Presidential Committee on Science and Technology Policy.

In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Order of Service Merit (Red Stripes) in 2013 and the Order of Service Merit (Blue Stripes) in 2019. He has dedicated his life to pioneering innovative directions in higher education and envisioning the future of universities. In particular, he established Taejae University, Korea’s first AI-focused university, where he is currently shaping a new paradigm for higher education as its founding president.
