Intelligence Augmentation and Human Well-Being
Artificial intelligence is transforming how knowledge is produced, education is organised, and learning is experienced. Education now stands at the intersection of technological revolution and paradigm shift, facing a fundamental question: How can AI truly serve human development rather than replace human value? “Intelligence Augmentation” (IA) offers a clear answer — not machines replacing human intelligence, but technology amplifying what makes us human.
Since its founding in 2023, DI-IDEA has organised annual international conferences in Beijing, London, Cambridge, and Singapore, launched two Global Digital Intelligence Education Innovation Competitions, published a book series on AI-powered education, and developed the DI-IDEA Hub with the University of Cambridge as a shared knowledge platform. With 36 member universities, DI-IDEA brings together over 400 institutions and 1,500 experts annually. These achievements provide a solid foundation for the discussions at this sub-forum.
